Reverse
engraving differs from traditional engraving in several ways. Instead
of engraving on the exposed surface of the material, the desired image
or text is engraved on the backside of a piece of Lexan plastic. The
engraved areas are left clear and then paint filled allowing for multiple
color graphics. Reverse engraving is ideal for abusive applications
such as the food processing industry or in a wash down environment.
Areas exposed to certain chemicals or high temperature applications
are also among those where Reverse Engraving is the ideal solution.
